What’s the expected salary for a 9 year experienced Software engineer/developer with Masters in Computer science from a reputed college in US Total compensation ?? Base + Signon + RSU splitup?
Forgot to mention that this is for the Bay Area.
Years experience is not a good indicator.
Years of exp doesn't matter that much nor your school.. it boils down to your quality of experience and sometimes problem solving skills.. 2-3yrs exp guy may earn more than 10yrs exp guy with good school background... and vice versa..
Not much for someone who asks the same question on blind that we get daily and doesn't know how to look it up.
20% more than your last job
You have to say location, job level, work location. And many other factors. There's no one answer. You have to ask a more specific question. It's like asking what's the salary expectation for an adult educated person in the us with 9 years of experience.
For Bay Area, staff software engineer role, 9 years of experience.
Still pretty vague, 100 to 300? Depends so much on company and situation. Some people make a million a year if they are a new ai PhD.
