Got verbal offer with expedia (seattle) and oracle (bay area). waiting for the numbers. which one you would choose?
Depends on numbers! Create a poll when you have them
Expedia is a shit show right now, poorly organized/communicated transformation, weak technology, weak leadership, struggles just to keep the many disparate computer apps working (along with frequent issues with WiFi across shuttles and on campus), many good people leaving amongst the chaos. Everyone is just waiting to see what is going to happen so projects are dragging, morale is low, and there are MANY projects to do just to get the company cohesive.
The transformation Expedia is going thru is that it is becoming a more product focused company. Right now is the golden time to be a PM. Forget about the development fiasco going on. If your product is successful there a lot more opportunities in management then being a plain old dev writing rest api’s.
LOL, true. I had years of Horizon Awards (high performer stock awards) but finally went, ugh, this isn’t worth it and can get paid more elsewhere. Mark’s a smart guy but not what that place needs right now. But this is just my humble opinion as a now recent departed employee :)
If OCI then Oracle. If not then Expedia
Oci
OCI Bay Area is a bad choice. If you’re in Seattle. Then great.
What's the difference?
Hi! Can you please tell the difference? I am interviewing with Oracle oci and I prefer bay area in general
