Looking to invest in close-to-ipo companies. Does anyone have experience with this? Any recommendations/tips?

Tip 1 - don't waste your money playing a lottery. Tip 2 - buy ETFs or good mutual funds instead

I tried playing with single stocks and have lost all the gains I made in my mutual fund.

Lol. Is this a joke? Have you actually seen their listings? They have the worst selections of all tech private equity I’ve ever come across (maybe like two good ones and the rest are not something you want to actually invest in). Try a different platform

Haven’t tried these, but the choices on SharesPost or Equidate seem way better

I have kicked around the idea, but never pulled the trigger.
