FAANG on resume
Does having FAANG on the resume help? Or do recruiters only contact/pick resumes based on the skills mentioned or based on the profile? If i move from Apple to a smaller/midsize company would that hinder the move back to FAANG?
Any company with tech brand recognition helps.
Judging by the amount of annoying recruiter spam on LinkedIn, yes
everything is changing, it’s just an acronym for strong tech stock. Instead I would care more about what you have done in FANG.
It can help open the door, but your interview performance will be judged like all others. So somebody from a pissant company might do better than you and win the offer. Even within the company, the same applies. I just went through internal interviews at Amazon, and I had absolutely no advantage (I apparently lost both because neither hiring manager got in touch after the interviews concluded a month ago).
