FB E6 compensation?
Tech with 15 yrs exp, and interview with FB Data center infra role (hw/SW interaction). Was told E5 is a good.target level but seems more like I shd be offered an E6. What shd I expect in terms of salary, bonus, sign on and RSUs at E6?

What is the blind convention for calculating tc? (base for 4 years+stock+sign on)/4 ? Or is Target bonus/stock for that level ( for 3 years ) is added to the above total and then the sum is divided by 4? To calculate per year TC..
TC = base + annual cash bonus + annual stock vest sign on can be assigned to first year or first two years (for amazon) depending on the company. after first year you get refreshers so it is appropriate to assign sign on to first year.
So to summarize all the replies: E5 is 180k/600 base/tc E6 is 220k/1M base/tc TC includes base+bonus+stock vest on an annual basis. Now, the next question is, how does FB determine E5 vs E6? ( assume candidate qualifies for E6 in terms of years of experience but not E7). What are the requirements and norms?

Some one pls answer this. If E6 is "difficult" does it imply FB only hires up to E5 and very rarely they hire E6? Surely they must hire at higher levels. My q is what is the criteria where E6 is almost a no brainer?
I understand E6 has an extra architectural interview and slightly different criteria for the behavioral interview (looking for leadership and management abilities).
I am an architect at intel btw. Plus have led teams before. Qualify on both counts
For that I first have to make it to L6 at Google "organically". I'm trying to avoid that and leverage my existing experience. Kind of sick waiting for promo to Principal at Intel. The wait list is long and I'm way overdue.
