FB Interview feedback

I had an on-site with Facebook (4 rounds) a few months back and was not extended an offer. There was a delay in obtaining the feedback from one of the interviewers and I had reached out to the recruiter to get a sense of how the feedback was from the other three. However the recruiter mentioned that they *don't* have any insight into the feedback and needed to take the feedback to the hiring committee to decide, which sounded like a lie to me. Is that the way it works since I have read here that recruiters usually give a sense of whether the feedback is positive or negative. Do they never get to see the feedback from the interviewers and only HC sees it and makes the decision.?

If the interview was at Seattle site, recruiters in Seattle FB site are lazy , don’t follow up on time . I found Amazon recruiters are much more aggressive and stay on top of things !

It was a lie. Recruiters are always in the loop and know exactly where you are in the process and your interview feedback. When your feedback are overwhelmingly negative and your recruiter does not see any chance of passing HC, he/she will directly reject you. In all other cases, your feedback will be passed on by ur recruiter to HC to decide

I'm guessing then since it went to HC it was maybe 50 50 , because only 1 out of 4 positive should have been a straight reject from the recruiter according to you what you told. Curious as to why the drama then. You could always say it came in mixed or something. How does HC break a 50-50.. is it a straight reject ?

50-50 is rejection. In your case my guess is each feedback stated a concern in a different area.

If you failed they won't share any info until next time you apply... The n they will share all feedback lol.

Is that common. ? I was under the assumption that they never give any detailed feedback due to fear of illegal discrimination lawsuits and all.

If you're interviewing again they'll share feedback so you can improve. Common with G/FB

I was told the same. Already had an offer but fb feedback was delayed due to one interviewer being out sick or something and could not provide me with any info on which way it was leaning until next hiring committee meeting. In the end though I finally got offer.

Thanks for sharing. Wondering why they do that though. The waiting was killing me.
