Facebook recruiter wants me to interview for a network automation role in Menlo Park, Seattle, or Denver. Which location would you choose?
Seattle of course
Seattle
Depends on many factors here including your age, seniority, family life, etc. In terms of cost of living: Denver > Seattle > MPK In terms of career advancement, it helps to be closer to HQ so: MPK > Seattle > Denver In terms of city life / commute: Seattle ~= Denver > MPK In terms of year round weather (if you prefer sunshine and warmth): MPK > Denver > Seattle I would need additional info for adequate comparisons.
What role and level? TC?
I'd go with Denver because it's still a decent size city but not so tech saturated like seattle or the bay area. But that probably depends on whether you're really interested in software vs just want a good job.
Denver only if you're white. Alot of white boys in the city
A lot of this is personal preference and depends on your background and interests.
