FB RPM Rejection

I applied to the Facebook Rotational Product Management (RPM) program with a referral a couple weeks ago and I got a rejection about 2 days later without getting the chance to interview. I know it’s a very competitive program but I thought my resume + referral were pretty solid. Does anyone know what FB filters on for RPM? I can also DM you my resume to take a look and get some feedback. A little about me: Electrical & Computer Engineering background from University of Toronto (top college in Canada) 4 internships varying in SWE and PM I’ve been getting interviews for the other APM programs but I’m just really curious about being filtered without a phone screen at FB.

Yea their interview criteria is random af. I knew some dimwits who got interviews but folks with real skills and Google/FB experience get rejected

Interesting, are you PM or manager of dimwits?

Toronto is considered mid tier in the US

It’s like #21 in the world so I thought it would be more recognized but I can see how the university name might not add a lot of credibility

Lol I’m convinced Fb RPM recruits sad/miserable consultants desperate to exit to tech or MBA folks...or eng who have worked in very obscure places...so you may be over qualified :) I’ve done a fair share of LinkedIn stalking for the profiles of RPMs because I was confused by the people they gave first rounds to

That’s the case with almost all APM programs

This couldn’t be further from the truth. Everyone I know in a G/F APM/RPM program has insane resumes. LinkedIn barely tells the whole picture.
