FB applying to both sales engineering and swe
Can I apply and interview for both at the same time? If I can’t and am rejected for one, how long do I have to wait to apply for the other? How does compensation differ between the 2 roles?

You can apply to both and interview at the same time. Swe pays higher then sales engineering. Because they are two different positions there is no cool down period but feedback from one could influence the other
They don’t think of themselves as looking for the same type of profile so that might be confusing if you mention it too insistently. Recruiter would be able to see it, but I doubt the interviewers would see it, or really care. Just apply, ask each interviewer why they team is cool, and you’ll get a good idea where you want to work. Fb is very much a “we don’t care where you were before as long as you kick ass now” company.
