FB layoffs

If ANY women / lgbt/ black people / Hispanic people are victims of the upcoming layoffs , then it may be discriminatory. FB should think about diversity and only layoff White and Asian men.

They aren't going to lay off any one this decade unless they start posting losses. Zuck is aiming for long term expansions, and there isn't enough voting rights outstanding to kick him out if investors wanted.

Seems like identity politics ftw. Fucking disaster. Layoff is a bad thing. Letting someone go is different altogether, so, let's see how well it is executed. Why would layoff happen anyway?. Did they hired a bunch of lazy or incompetent individuals? People with neuro degenerative or stml issues?. 100s of people leaving altogether is a long shot as well. Whatever reason may then it be. If managers are out /(Alex example), their immediate direct reports (or someone below) can too. Makes sense. It would be fairly spread out though. So, doesn't makes sense. Yeah.

While hiring there is a requirement to meet diversity targets. So while firing also they might need to make sure that they try and improve the diversity ratio, and therefore layoff only white and Asian men. I am not saying whether that’s the right thing to do or not. Just saying that these diversity guidelines while hiring can be applied while laying off as well.
