Facebook- Value of trust?

Facebook employees with top TC, whats the value you guys put for trust that users have on the platform? Is that what was pushing your stock price- ouch until now? A company with zero values and big structural issues. https://gizmodo.com/facebook-giving-other-companies-access-to-your-private-1831221712

This is the same thing as Gmail lets iPhone mail app access and display your emails. What’s the big deal? I know you don’t understand it since you seem to lack the ability to analyze the issue independently, and instead rely on media’s clickbaity articles. But I’m leaving this here for others nonetheless.

Its not the same thing. One os a feature that users like (gmail and iPhone mail) and the other is fb giving access to private dm messages to 150 companies to use however they want. In most cases, this doesn't benefit the user. How are these the same thing?
