Can you work from home pretty flexibly at FB? What's this "work from home wednesdays" thing all about?
Depends on team. If itās important to you then look for teams accordingly during bootcamp
100% depends on your management chain. The Wednesday thing is to set a norm so even managers who dont like WFH have to give you at least one day a week. I let my folks do it pretty much whenever.
Wait so everyone at fb gets to wfh on Wednesday? That's so cool. What about weekends though? Do managers expect people to work on weekends?
Eh, let me add some nuance: that norm is entrenched in the engineering org. Orgs that work closely with them may adopt it; those that don't are less likely to. Weekend work is not exactly expected. Sometimes you make commitments and in order to meet them you have to work extra now and then. Sometimes shit hits the fan and they need someone to step in. Sometimes your team has an oncall schedule and it's your turn. Completely depends on the team.
No meeting Wednesday, aka Wfh day.
You can work from home every day after you leave offices
It is encouraged to WFH on weekends, you are welcome!
Donāt forgot WFH weeknights. Nice benefit!
Old post but I guess itās now very moot, as everyone is wfh
Itās work from home weekends
Damn, I wish all companies would allow for this! Seriously. I saw employees streaming to work at the local AT&T office today...
Wow. AT&T already has the technology to stream human beings?
