I will be joining FB in a month (E4 SDE level). I was interviewed in the ML track, however got the offer for a generalist role. So, I will have to go through the bootcamp and choose a team. I was told by my recruiter that given my ML experience, I should be easily able to get into any ML team. I want the role to have both engineering (~70%) and modelling (~30%) involved Which ML teams should I be watching out for? Need suggestions 😀 TC - 250k YOE - 1.5
What's generalist role? Would you be doing SWE work as opposed to ML work?
A generalist role means that you are recruited to a general pipeline, and you are free to choose whatver team you wish. If the team likes you, you are in. It could be a sde work or pure ML work.
Integrity teams usually have lot of ML related projects. Look at community integrity
What ML have you been doing at Intel?
Mostly did SDE with bit of ML. My Masters coursework was more ML
