I have an onsite and the recruiter asked me to move my flight to an earlier time so that I can make it for this candidate welcome session where I will get tour of facility and get some tips for interview one day before the actual onsite. Just wanted to know if this is worth moving flight or should I just focus on prepping for technical interview. Did anyone do this and was it helpful?

Is this a new thing? My welcome session was only a few minutes of chit chat in a small conference room. I would do that. That's a good chance to get yourself familiar with the environment/culture/facilities of the potentially next company.
Same for me. Don’t waste your time before the interviews. Lunch interviewer and recruiter also showed me around after the interviews.
Looks like a new thing. My welcome session was a 10 minute talk to some random person the recruiter sent to meet me at the reception.
