- I guess how do you measure impact? Is it based on number of features being shipped (product engineer)?
Expectation to impact team? If i help interviews and mentoring will that affect performance review?
What other factors besides deliverables that are considered to get myself promoted to E5?
- It’s very much anchored on value to the team and business, much more so than # of features landed.
E4s are generally expected to take on a higher complexity and scope of work than E3s (features and projects, not tasks), to be independent and to be able to self-unblock.
We like to see some emerging aspects of leadership — technical, project, or people based.
