Just got an intern return offer for a E3 new grad position last week. I got EE ratings and thought I did really well on the internship despite the lowball. Recruiter said base and stock are non-negotiable but signing is. 110/150/65 and 10% target bonus What do you guys think? Also what are some companies you'd recommend to get offers from to better my position in negotiating with Facebook? I'm interning at Google in the summer btw so definitely looking to leverage their return offer to negotiate as well. Thankfully the FB recruiter let me push my offer decision till 2 weeks after the end of my Google internship. Right now I'm thinking about trying to interview with Airbnb, Uber, Apple, LinkedIn, Lyft, and a couple HFT and algo trading companies. Is it worth interviewing at Microsoft or Amazon as well?
Congrats!
Kids these days, zero industrial experience, 150k TC and consider lowball
Isn’t NASA the coolest place to work for?
65k sign on?
I am so impressed by “kids” like you Sybil. Career focused, assertive and thoughtful. (Not a troll)
That’s the highest intern conversion offer Facebook have for the base. You can potentially go up to 100 for the sign on but you better have had stellar performance during your internship, GE or above. Don’t be greedy.
Ask for more sign on bonus then take it. I know 75k used to be the minimum intern return offer signing bonus. Very very few companies will offer you more. Google might not even match this.
Fb lowered it to 65k this year
Bloomberg lp might give you 160k TC (all cash) plus around 40k sign-on depending on interview performance.
If Fb return offer is considered lowball I wonder if there is any places could offer you a non lowball Offer. Good luck
Google doesn't get back to their interns about returns until like 1-2 months after the internship. I think your fb offer will expire by then.
Wait what. For real?
