I had a phone screen for a marketing role in Menlo Park today and am optimistic about moving on to the interview with the hiring manager. Having not previously interviewed with Facebook, I'm not sure what types of questions to expect. I have went through several interviews at Seattle area tech companies including Amazon, Smartsheet, and Nintendo, though I suspect Facebook runs theirs slightly different in an effort to differentiate themselves. Any tips?
What’s the role? Our marketing division is huge and has several different teams, roles and functions under it who will all ask different questions related to the job they’re trying to fill. But in general at Facebook, for a non-tech role, after a phone screen you will likely go on to an interview loop with 3-4 people. Each person will ask you questions related to a different focus area (ie technical, collaborating with XFN, “behavioral” to assess how you’d handle situations, etc). Your recruiter will know and can tell you who you’re interviewing with and what question areas they’ll ask. I’d also ask the recruiter for more insight into the types of questions and materials to review before interviews - they should have a good feel for what the manager is looking for specifically outside of the JD.
Trying to not provide too much detail to avoid inadvertently doxxing myself, but it sounds like the position's goal is to drive SMBs to the Facebook ad platform.
Follow up question for y'all: what level and approximate tc would a 5 yoe Marketing Manager role be?
Sounds like IC4 to me.
Hey op, did you have to do an assessment?
Little generic I think, but hopefully this can help: https://www.rooftopslushie.com/request/Interview-Process-for-Product-Marketing-Manager-Facebook-73
I definitely wouldn’t pay $25 for that lol
