What are they all about? And why are they contacting me. Is this for quota purposes or just canvassing the lay of the land. Should I ignore it?
Do you have leadership experience? If not then it's probably quota. They have a rule that all senior positions need at least one minority applicant

I got the same interest from Facebook as well. Bullsh*** diversity leadership role. I passed. Definitely felt like an interview quota.

They call it as a Diversity candidate, the more diverse you are the more brownie points they score. LGBTQ and African Americans, Latina women score. Unfortunately, Asian does not count
It was actually for a real job. I was surprised by that.
Did you go through their hiring process? What was it like?
I have for IC, not leadership. IC was grueling and stupid. Left a bad taste in my mouth. And took months. Maybe that’s why I was already so put off I didn’t pursue this one. First impressions are hard to shake. Also it was MPK and I want SF.
