Facebook Offer / Rejection

Have a debrief call scheduled next week with recruiter after multiple onsite and phone interviews. In your experience has an offer / rejection been via email or on the phone or just ghosted?

In my experience they call you right away if you passed otherwise schedule a call later.

I also got called quite soon, within 5 working days with an offer, but I know that it took 3 weeks for another. I guess it might be earlier the better, but there definitely is a range.

If offer they schedule it ASAP, not next week

Just ghosted for me.

It’s in between- they’re not super excited but they don’t ghost you either. It’s probably inclined more on the positive side. So many situations can be imagined here, so I’d just try to distract yourself and keep moving towards your end goal in another way.

The format they choose and when/how they schedule it means almost nothing (it's pretty typical for screening stages to be handled via email, and on-sites via a call, regardless of outcome). They're not necessarily going to rush it if you're getting an offer, and drag it out otherwise. The only reason to really rush it is if they know you have competing offers or pending deadlines...otherwise, why bother? There are other candidates to take care of, too. In GENERAL, most respectable companies/recruiters have a pretty formal approach and try to be consistent and professional with their timing. It's the most sensible thing to do. FWIW: the last offer I got took four full business days, while the last rejection only took one (Monday morning after a Thursday on-site).

I got rejected in a similar way.
