I recently interviewed with FB and the recruiter has been extremely helpful and open in terms of proactively reaching out and keeping me in the loop as feedback started to roll in. So overall regardless of results I had a positive experience. I believe I did really well for phone screen; for onsite rounds according to what the recruiter has shared so far, I did well on one of them, did so-so on one, and did not so well on one. There are still waiting on two remaining feedback. Two questions: What does ‘so-so’ mean in this case? For example is it scored 1,2,3,4, and ‘so-so’ is associated with something like 2 or 3? Given that there is already one “not so well”, is it most likely no offer? I’ve unexpectedly messed up on one or two really simple questions in one round unfortunately... but felt that I did pretty well on all others.
It’s unusual that the recruiter has shared this feedback. Usually at this point your interviewers will calibrate and reach a decision; it can go either way regardless of any individual rating. If someone really wants to go to bat for you, it may work in your favor.
hmm ok. Yeah that’s why I was almost a bit surprised (in a positive way for this case :)) about such openness. I mean she didn’t provide all these details first but just said in general I did well in some part but not so in some other, and I followed up by asking whether she could be more specific, and she just told me which rounds she was referring too.
What were the easy questions you did so so
Some really simple probability questions, drawing cards related. I was actually a hardcore Math major when I was in school so I felt super embarrassed to have messed up that round haha. Oh well, too nervous.
Don’t worry. There will be another change next year
Op, I am also looking to interview? Willing to share your experience? Please PM
Yeah, me too! Unfortunately I can’t PM you.
The recruiter at facebook reached to me after onsite last friday (3days ago) that he wants to share interview feedback with me. What does that mean? I think I did well in two interviews. Do they reject candidates on email ? Or they call and reject ?
Usually they call and reject
Thats what i thought too . I dont know why they cant reject on email
Op how did this end up? Was it bad news? I too had a DS interview and did bad in one section.....
Most likely no offer if you didn’t do well
