facebook ads, what has changed in the last month? What works when running ads? What marketing objectives convert more
Only 20% of your ad impressions are actually going be seen...if your lucky. Even less on Instagram. https://digiday.com/marketing/facebook-video-ad-viewability-rates-low-20-percent-agencies-say/
Too easy to scroll past ads. But unsure if agencies should hold the same standard to regular websites where you are somewhat forced to watch at least 5 seconds of preroll ad. Same with display. Way too easy to scroll past ads. That said, I'll bet that click-to-conversion rate is probably higher on fb than on any other platforms/medium.
I implemented a Facebook pixel page today. Seems interesting.
The very first question I ask my clients is "what's your goal(KPI)? What are you trying to achieve?" What works and what won't work will depend on what you're trying to achieve. Facebook tends to roll out their updates pretty silently even if you are connected with a rep, so you may have to poke around.
Thank you, I am currently poking around. My goal is sales conversions for an e-commerce store. Video views has gotten me conversions lately, trying to find a balance with other objectives within the marketing objectives
Have you tried hooking up a product feed for Dynamic Product Ads for more direct conversions? Otherwise, most recent changes have been the Reach objective (replacing Brand Awareness), engagement based audiences, and messenger as a placement for some objectives.
