Fb recruiter told me all fb employees get a 5-10% increase in base comp year over year. Is that true?

- Facebook toppotIn the past, 5% was the default as long as you were meeting expectations and not near the top of your band. This years increase was smaller.
- Facebook BubblechanDepends on performance, i’d say expect less than that, maybe 3 to 7 unless you’re top performer (and less if you do badly).

I would assume he will get low hikes even with exceptional performance. Also what happens if the employee hits the top of the band I.e. after he hits 190K will he stop getting hikes.
Since E5 is the terminal position, it is likely that most folks are stuck in E5 and cannot advance.
