Facebook behavioral interview: personal life experiences

Not a good idea to use personal life examples. Exception to this rule - is “Exceptional” life events and experiences. Like fighting cancer, building refugee camps in Africa or Conquering Everest

I ran out of examples during my Amazon's onsite to satisfy their LPs. So, I ended up giving personal life experience examples for two questions. It felt kinda awkward during that interview and the interviewer asked me to tell something technical 😂. Maybe that's why I did not get an offer even though the technical questions were easy.

I agree the examples should be professional rather than personal . If someone is a new college grad without a strong professional track record to draw from I recommend referencing internships and academic collaboration/ projects. You could also prep examples from professional and personal life and ask the interviewer what would be most relevant for them.
