Facebook culture fit interview

New grad going for FB University Day. I am told there will be 3 coding rounds + 1 culture fit. Wanted to ask you folks what are you expecting to see in this interview.

Interviewed in August at a uday, expect the basic tell me about a project you worked on and the challenges etc favorite class and why, why facebook Pretty easy, but there's also an easy tech question in the last 10 minutes where your expected to code.

Hey thanks for the reply. Any advice for the coding rounds?

Fb tagged leetcode questions

Must buy into CEO cult of personality and "vision". Must express willingness to slave away nights and weekends. I hate tech culture

Culture fit sounds like a legal way to discriminate against anyone who isn't a brogrammer douche

That's pretty much what it is at some places.

My behavioural interview was purely 'tell me about a time when X' questions. Try to incorporate FB's core values into your responses. Only had 10 minutes at the end so didn't do any coding.

Out of curiosity, what's a good reference for their core values (beyond "move fast and break things")

What FB has a university day? Where can I sign up?

Did your recruiter call it a culture fit interview? That's really not what it is.

Oh no.. She called it as interview 3 only. But heard from others that it is a culture fit round. Would love to know your views on that and also what you are looking for (new grad)

Likely one of your coding interviews will be with two people. This is an interviewer in training and it doesn't actually count for/against you. They won't tell you this, but you'll know if you get two interviewers and one of them doesn't do/say anything. This happened to me for U Day.

Are you sure it doesn't count or is it just not weighted as heavily

It might seem obvious, but know your resume inside and out and be prepared to speak about each experience with regards to project examples and where you made an impact. Plus, there will be questions about you and what you are looking for in your next job, problems you want to solve – etc. Hint: Facebook problems. Being a great coder may not be enough. You also need to be a culture fit - someone who aligns with the company’s goals and fast-paced work style. Read up on Facebook before the interview to be sure you’re comfortable with the culture Mark Zuckerberg has created there. Once you have all those pieces in place, prepare yourself by reviewing the structure of Facebook’s hiring process. You can find a lot of info in this article: https://goo.gl/J5oH94
