Hello blind community. I have a data engineer onsite interview coming up at fb in a couple of weeks and am really nervous about it. I have been solving leetcode questions on python and have prepped well for sql. But i want to gets some practice for the data modeling and design interviews. Could you please useful sources for the modeling and design interviews? Any info on this would be super helpful. Thanks!
You don't need leetcode python, SQL on leetcode is pretty basic, won't help much for the DE interview. But be good in SQL, I mean literally u should know everything that there is in SQL and it will be a smooth ride. The recruiter must have given u general prep links, use them.. I used the Data Modeling bible.. 'The Data Warehouse Toolkit' P.S. I will be joining FB as DE in April
Thank you for the answer :) I’ve gotten some material from the recruiter but on data modeling and etl i got Wikipedia links. I’ll be sure to read through the book.
@tQMk99: Hey! Looks like the book is so comprehensive enough to read. Did you get to read the whole book? What are the good websites / material you followed for data modeling and design questions for your FB interview?
All the best of course! 🙂
Pay attention to questions about old-school DB stuff.
... and good luck!
May I DM you? I have my onsite interview next week.
Thank you :)
