They want to interview again, and thus they’re desperate? Every company is interested in reinterviewing people, especially those that were close or showed potential.

Yes but FB has a policy that they have to wait one year after a failed interview..

Right, but it’s not uncommon in my experience for recruiters to break that rule. Had it happen at Microsoft and Apple.

When you respond , the recruiter will disappear. Happens often.

They have a high bar. Lots of positions to fill. Their crappy reputation is becoming more well known, which likely impacts their yield and interest from passive candidates at top companies. Why take the risk.

How unlucky do you have to get leetcode hard. What kind of role?

Just a regular swe position (e4), the difference between an easy hard and harder mediums is pretty small too. onsite was entirely medium level questions

I’ve gotten Leetcode hard from my first Google phone interviewer a few years ago. He didn’t know the answer to a follow up question when I asked him what he thought either.

Getting excited about recruiter reach outs is like an incel getting a rush when some random girl coincidentally looks his way.

Keep in mind that Facebook is a big company, and you might have been rejected based on level or competition. There is also the possibility that your feedback indicated you might have been better fitted for a different role. Don't think good or bad about it just answer the call

6-11month depends on how much you screwed up last time. Your failed phone screen could be not because of you and you maybe exempted for the wait, thus they call you again right when headcount’s open up.

Any company at this point of time is hiring aggressively, so yes the phone screen round is not a big deal. But congrats on being selected for consideration among giant pool fb has! Read other threads you will see people can’t even get phone screen, so don’t waste it if you really want the job.
