Facebook e4 or e5

Have onsite soon at Facebook. They are considering me for e5. But recruiter said if you fail to make it to e5, we won’t consider you for e4. I am not very confident about clearing e5, should I just tell them to consider me for e4.

It depends on YOE. Over 5-6 years, they're looking for E5.

Yea, they will consider you for a level that’s appropriate for your yoe, with some variation. Go for e5! What do you have to lose? There are tons of interesting companies. Fb is just one of them

Nope go for e5. I think it will make you look bad if you tell them this? But wait why aren’t you confident in the first place? If they are considering you for e5 that means they think you can.

So imho I’ll go for e5 and if i fail ill just try to re-apply again. But its really up to you and depends on where you are in life right now.

Same thing. My recruiter told me there's no more HC for E4, I could either try E5 or wait until there are new openings.

The recruiter is wrong. If you don't meet the E5 bar you will be considered for E4
