Facebook hiring only senior engineers?
Is Facebook hiring only senior engineers? I see all their roles with 5+ exp. Would I be considered with 3+ YOE (MS)? I have a decent profile and experience working with customer-facing features. TC: 210 LC: 202/354/102
I even think the 5 yoe is just an excuse for resume rejections... Iโve recently interviewed people with less than that.
May I know how many yoe is a good fit? I have 1.5 YOE. I got referral and recruiter said I am eligible for new grad. Then the HR rejected me for both new grad and industry positions (2yoe)
Itโs really hard to tell. Iโd even say it 50% depends on weather when the recruiter reads your resume... Iโve seen the candidates with yoe anywhere from 1-20... Donโt bet on this, and FB is not the only company out there. Just apply more and youโll end up with something similar if not better.
I actually was contacted back for an E4 loop after getting referred with 1 YoE. I applied for full stack and rotational software engineer. Recruiter basically told me that I'll interview for E4, if they have headcount (they don't as of now, this can change) they'll hire me as E4, otherwise they'll still offer rotational
Come on, itโs the same every year. E4 and below are full before May.
Just interviewed for E4, 2yoe. They gave me rotational instead and I took it.
How well did you do on the interviews?
Good coding signal, not good enough behavioral apparently maybe due to lack of experience ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ
E3 and E4 headcount are already filled. Need to wait for.
By when can we expect to see new ones opening up?
I don't know honestly.
I hope you get a reply. It would help if you mention where all ur exp has been. And your current TC. Maybe even how much LC u have done.
