I have an internship offer and I'm pretty excited. I've heard that Facebook gives huge signing bonuses for converted interns, but that makes me think that it is hard to get that fulltime offer.
60% get offers, and it requires good project and good team exposure+feedback
Where did you find this number? It was closer to 40% last year.
Depends a lot on finishing project. I know someone who wasn't going to get a return offer then hauled ass at the end of his internship to finish his project and ended up getting one.
I don't know stats, but from what I've seen I know many more interns that got offers than not. My guess is about 75% get offers, but I could be totally wrong. The main thing is there is no "curve" applied. At least I've not seen any. So if you do well (deliver your work, meet the (high) expectations get good peer feedback), you will get an offer. You're not in race with other interns. But it's not easy by any stretch. I know of companies where interns are treated with kid gloves - in terms of work. FB is not that. You're expected to deliver, close to that of a fresh grad. It's not enough if your manger or their manager is happy. The goal and effort by the company is to maintain a common bar across the company.
depends on results of intership. on average 20-50% of interns get return offers. and make sure to male your intern manager happy as he will be the mail one to vouch for you
Just following up with a question. Is it possible to convert an internship at Facebook and start working full-time immediately afterwards?
I read a stat somewhere that said 40% get an offer. I read something else that said to get an offer you need to ship your project to production by week 10(ish? Maybe 9) Never been a fb intern myself though so take it with a grain of salt.
