Sounds like I gotta do some Leetcode soon and finally interview with them :) And probably buy more real estate in 98033 while there’s a sudden supply peak. https://news.theregistryps.com/facebook-planning-to-sign-leases-in-three-bellevue-office-towers-according-to-industry-sources/
I guess they will allocate shitty projects here which are not of menlo park standard
Is that a thing? Do companies usually have shitty projects at the other locations
Yes
I think half of their Seattle workforce actually live on the Eastside. They'd just move some Eastside heavy teams from Seattle. So the variety of projects must stay equally good. Plus they're likely looking to poach a bunch folks from G/MS who didn't consider FB previously due to longer commute from Sammamish, etc.
And yeah, sounds like a good time to buy something in Kirkland.
@facebook I find Bellevue better valuations better than kirkland
Living in Kirkland (98033) means cycling distance to Google, Oculus, MS, and 10 mins drive to Bellevue downtown, up to 30 mins to SLU. It also has its own Costco, WholeFoods, TraderJoes, etc.
Redmond way from across Kirkland is nightmares during commute time. Kirkland has good downtown but my colleague had hard time coming over to MS.
What departments are there though? Is it Engineering?
