First time, recruiter pinged on LinkedIn. A call was scheduled, was asked a bunch of stuff. She asked me for my availability for the next few days and then never got back. 10 months later.... Second time, recruiter pinged me for a different job on LinkedIn, and asked a bunch of questions and asked me my current salary, to which I politely said that I would expect x as my salary instead of mentioning my existing salary. Went through two rounds of interview and another recruiter then spoke related to on site interview steps and also asked me if I filled the form related to my immigration. After 4 days of no follow up, I mailed checking for the dates finalized and got a reject. How is it that I am qualified for final on-site and in 4 days is it's rejected?!?!. Best part of this is, I never applied for the job both the times and was approached by the recruiter directly on LinkedIn. It's ok to reject a candidate, but unprofessional behavior is bad...
Don’t feel bad. They approach everybody and make them feel like you are the one. Then dump you like there is no tomorrow.
Isn’t Blind full of stories about ghosting by Amazon recruiters?
May be, I never said Amazon interviews are the best.. 😅
That doesn't sound that bad. That's common at all companies.
Okay.. may be it was just me.
I heard several stories how Facebook cancelled phone or onsite interviews because they thought it would be too hard to get visa for this person. Could that be the case? (I’m not saying Facebook didn’t do anything bad, of course this experience sucks.. Just trying to help you figure out why that might have happened! )

Dodged a bullet. Facebook is truly one of the most evil companies on the planet.
That's a stretch. Evil, sure, I'll grant that...but most evil. There is a deep catalog.
Gosh I should join Apple
