Will Facebook beat any offer you have as a new grad or do they cap off? Got an invite to interview and not sure if it’s worth. I know Google can go up to 300k rsu if you have an offer from a top firm or competing offer from like citadel type firms. I haven’t seen Facebook shelling that out? For reference I have an offer with tc about 180k and first year about 250k. Would it be bm to ask recruiter if there is a new grad cap?
That’s a very good offer for fresh grad
I think I read a post before saying base and rsu is fixed. They can only go up on the signing bonus
Afaik, they can get you their top end offer for the level under consideration but it’s pretty difficult to go past that even with competing offers. Could be possible to achieve what you say if you are a returning rockstar intern. Also, is the 250-180=70k, a combination of signon and relo bonus? And where did you get that if I may ask.
Yes that 70k is a combination of signon and relo. Irs from a financial firm. I'd rather not disclose the actual company for privacy.
Trolling
Who has gotten 300k rsu as a new grad? Lmao
New grads are ridiculously overpaid. Google can pay 300k RSU over 4 in exceptional cases.
I’m not trolling — new grads are ridiculously overpaid these days. You can check cscareerquestions to see for yourself. This is not my Salesforce offer — Salesforce offers 1230, 85/4, 25, 10% bonus. This offer is from a firm in the financial space that does tech work—one of TS, JS, DRW, Citadel, IMC, AQR.
Facebook returning intern new grads are paid ~120/150/100 with 10% bonus so first year is about 260k and then 220k ish in year 2 with refreshers from year 1. Non intern grads are paid less contingent on other offers
100 only for rockstar interns. Avg is 65k
Also could you mind giving some calculations for 220k estimate
Yeah that 220k seems wrong...150/4 = 37.25, so rhats 157.25 plus 12k or 169.25k. I'm also pretty sure base at FB is standard at 110 nowadays, but that's a separate point. In any case you're still saying 50k of refresher is given that year???
Mistyped, as it should be 200k for year 2. Here’s the breakdown for year 2, 125k base after raise, 12k bonus, 37.5k stock, 25k stock from year 1 refresher. Refresher is given every year. I saw some E3s get 100k last year even in year 1
Do you mind explaining how refreshers work? Are refreshers additiknal grants that ALSO vest over 4 years? So in your example, after year 1 someone could get a 100k refresher, and then get 125, 12k, 37.5, and 25. At the end of second year yesr, assuming no promo, you'd get another 100k refresher?? So you'd make 125, 12, 37.5, 25, 25??? The thirs year?
Refreshers are additional stock grants that happen every year that vest over 4 years so you don’t leave after the initial grant. And yes, they stack. Not every company such as salesforce offers this. FB offers the highest refreshers with google next. Steep drop off in refresher amounts from there amongst the largest companies.
100k refreshers for e3 is really above the average right? What rating do you need for that?
