We make non-eng go through eng bootcamp, it's fucked. A guy in my bootcamp class, he was ex-Army and gonna be an Arabic translator for PAC, he got a bunch of PHP
Are they evaluated on programming skills even though it won't be a big aspect of their job? Is it a positive learning experience or is it demoralizing?
Not all non-eng go through Bootcamp - only certain roles. Product and data science do.
Phone/laptop: android, ios, macos, windows. Each org will either have their own onboarding program or in team trainers to ramp up.
