Recently had a fb onsite and the process was very enjoyable. This is my breakdown of how I did:
1) Career/Coding: It went great. Was able to tell about my experience in detail. Was able to provide optimal solution for coding part as well.
2) Coding: First part went great (optimal solution). Could not finish writing solution for second one. I had to get few hints from interviewer. I told my thought process based on the hint provided. I felt like she was not ready for second question. I might have finished first one bit too soon.
3. Coding: First part went great. Again could not finish writing solution for second follow up question. Few minor hints here and there.
4. System design: This one was interesting. I was expecting actual system design question but It ended up being product design type (did not prepare for product design). I did the best I could describing my approach collaborating with the interviewer.
It was really hard to come up with solutions for 2 questions in 40 minutes.
I definitely need to improve on that part.
I dont think I will pass the interview given the bar set by fb. But overall it was a great experience and will try next year. :)
Did anyone get the offer although they bombed the interview like me?
PS: I did not get any leetcode questions. I had never seen any of the questions before.

But it is most likely because my system design and behavioral answers were good.
Also, getting hints is fine.
Good luck!
