Am a L6 tpm @ Amazon with a total comp of 280k with base of 156k. I am completing 2 yes at Amazon in December. I see no route to becoming an L7 in the near future. What r my options purely as a compensation play? A) Continue with Amazon as the stock price is going up? B) switch to Google or facebook? I am getting few calls from recruiters - If so what is the comparable level and compensation in each of this companies? Thanks
How many years of experience do you have? Are you IC or have other TPMs/ SDEs reporting to you?
15 yrs. IC TPM at present in Amazon but managed Devs and pms in the past
I started this year as L5 tpm making 300k. You will surely be downgraded from amzn but will make more in comp.

Get the offer first, then consider all options you have. You are about to vest big chunk of your RSU grant, why bother to move? (Assuming 280k is your current year comp given 15% RSU vesting)
I will definitely wait for the 15% vest at the end of December. Then I drop to base pay only starting Jan paycheck. Granted the current stock price of Amazon will get me more money for the 40% of the rsu vesting for year 3 that my yearly sign in bonus.
