Offers from both - which would be a better experience? Which one will teach me more?
Facebook hands down.
Palantir! That place is so chill, you can wear yoga pants to work, no one legit gives a shit what you look like/wear, get free massages/chiropractor/hair cuts, beer, food, everything. Very laid back and outstanding performers. Also crazy close to Caltrain. Besides they are smaller so internships there are rarer. Also you can be a slave at one of the big boys anytime you want since they are so huge/have more job postings. Congrats on getting an offer at Palantir for internship— they are very selective
Palantir, try something different don't be a drone
Says the guy from Adobe lol
Would've said Palantir a couple years ago, defs Facebook nowadays.
What are you/they looking for from the internship? I always saw Palantir as mainly govt contractor working on big data in intelligence/surveillance. Not sure Facebook does much on that or to the same extent/end goal. Be fucked up if they did. Interested to see what others think about expected experience gained from either?
Facebook does more big data analysis than Palantir.
The Palantir phone interview actually made me not want to work there.
