Whats going on in the leadership’s minds?? Kicking out CEOs of instagram and whatsapp, and then not replacing their CSO.... Is monetization all that the company really cares about?? For everyone who works there and feels that you are working towards a nobel mission to “connect the world” and that they are not selling anything, isn’t it because your users are your products??? wasn’t the cambridge analytica scandal enough? 50mil more accounts affected by today’s hack. Trying to help people is one thing. But not “asking” for help (when you clearly need it) and screw up multiple times over not admitting it, is another. When you try to approach a mission as ambitious, and wanna do it all by yourself, shouldn’t there be consequences to such blunders? PS- I am not salty about anything lol. Just really suprised and curious as to what the $400+bn company is upto
The answers are: nothing, yes and no, no, not enough, they’re traded off.
Up to isn't the right word with Facebook, looking at the stock movement it should be what's fb downto?
We phone screened someone from FB and he was suggesting us that we should target users based on the type of credit card they use. Basically recommend apps/products based on how rich they are. Maybe Facebook does all these shady things. We have to fight with so many teams to get any data here. Nobody would even allow access to this data at Apple.
The frustrating thing is, all the selling customer data problem doesnt even seem to be that much revenue adders. Do they need to be doing all this shit to make profits?
