I studied MS in computer network. Joined current company as Product support/NPI engineer in core networking since 4 yr. I don't have coding experience. I was thinking about change but I don't find any suitable job in industry. Most of jobs I see are in software development. I don't want to go to support again that too vendor specific. I am wondering if anyone is in same boat. What did you guys do ?
Play around with netconf and yang a lot. Try confd. That will enable you jobs in software development too
What kind of grad school teaches computer networking, which should be done in high school/community college?
Maybe look at network security roles?
I find most people join enterprise security because they suck at everything
Maybe coursera and few other projects to add on LinkedIn profile .
@ma123 I would say now a days the biggest driving factors for some company’s is certifications figure out what people in your field get and aim for that.. it might not be required but it makes you stand out among a crowd..

I did this, try getting coding opportunities in current job of possible. Do side projects outside of work. Leetcode until you are really good, often companies will take a chance and if you can pass the coding interview they'll sometimes take a chance on you
