For no obvious reason, some days or sometimes I feel really low. Even when surrounded by lot of people, I feel low.....as if something bad is gonna happen, feel kind of worrisome, nervous, etc.

It's not everyday/too often, but now and then. Does not affect on daily life but when it sets on, I feel like doing nothing, etc. It Is this normal? Do you feel the same way? Today is just one of those days ๐Ÿ˜”

Yeah, seeing Sun is vital at least for some personality types. My mood oscillates if the weather is gloomy. I could never live in places like pnw. Iโ€™ve tried. I believe Iโ€™m a rare breed and most people can live in gloomy weather just fine.

If it starts affecting your social life and work life, you should go see a doctor. Depression is a disease like any other and you should go get it treated. It definitely sounds like depression and anxiety. Take it easy op

Yeah it's normal to have shitty days. I think if it's more than 2-3 times a week you should start getting worried. But everyone has bad days and that's ok, hope you're feeling better soon

Yeah, force yourself out of the house. Thatโ€™s important. I go to coffee shops alone with a book or journal. Write your feelings on a piece of paper. Writing when youโ€™re feeling low has a great effect of physically parting with your unnecessary thoughts. Over time this habit will serve you well. I have 7-8 journals over past 3 years. They are not daily diaries but things I write when Iโ€™m low. It helps.

This is 100% normal. Donโ€™t beat yourself up.

Being married to a spouse with severe mental illness, my suggestions would be to get out in nature, eat better, sign up for a workout class - or try something completely new. Anything that gets you out of your own head will help. Sitting an runinating about your thoughts will make it worse. Trust me.

Medicine should be the absolute last resort. If you can cope by doing things I mentioned, that is way way better. It is completely normal to feel a little down now and then. Remember, youโ€™re human.

Ideas of things you can do: networking events, art galleries, improv classes, martial arts, cross fit, soul cycle, hiking groups, indoor climbing centers, scuba diving, bike tours, surf classes, sailing classes. Trying things you havenโ€™t done before is a great way to beat your funk. It takes courage to sign and show up, but trust me that you might end up really enjoying it and meet new people.

    Good luck!

It's not depression. If you feel low continuously for 2 weeks or more then that can be classified as depression. Change your lifestyle. Excercise regularly, eat healthy, limit coffee and tea as caffeine makes these symptoms worse, play team sports if possible, find a hobby which keeps you engaged, read self help books. Above all have fun :)

Could be depression, could be your thyroid out of wack or your are missing a vital supplement like vitamin D or B. See a doctor, get a blood test. That's a good starting point.

There is nothing wrong with you. I understand exactly how you feel. It sounds like youโ€™re depressed and it would be really good for you to talk to a therapist. I suffer from depression too and I can attest to therapy being helpful to learn coping skills to get you through the times when you are feeling really down. If it is the work environment that is making you down, think about putting your resume out there and look for a company with a good culture. You are completely normal as am I. ๐Ÿ™‚Life can be difficult. There is nothing wrong with reaching out for help.

No he is not fucking depressed. Why are people suggesting that he is depressed? Itโ€™s normal to feel that way. Ass someone has already suggested, Having healthy habits, a good social life and supposedly meaningful work helps in these situations. Vitamin D is also real.

Music and taking a walk in a green space outside are quick ways to improve your mood. I think doing something nice for yourself helps to. Treat yourself!

If you feel this way on the odd day, I donโ€™t think you need to worry. If there is anxiety about this odd day, there is no harm in talking to your GP about it and getting a referral for a therapist.
