You do realize that the sign was put up by PETA & not any feminist organization, right ? The same folks who think looking in the general direction of an animal is animal abuse.
PETA people are the lunatic fringe of animal rights and progressive madness. The worst sort of radical self-loathing liberals. (And I am a liberal who loves animals, just not radical or self-loathing)
If you do not agree with PETA, it does not mean that they are “self-loathing” for some reason. Same goes for “radical” and “lunatic”. My sixth-grader is better at arguing his point than you.
You merely need type "PETA hypocrisy" into Google to see what I am talking about. If you don't understand the connection between this sort of existential hypocrisy and self-loathing I scarcely think I am going to be able to type it out for you from a smartphone keyboard. I can only hope you are merely uneducated on PETA's history and actions rather than aware of them and being willfully ignorant.
I agree with Northman. I love animals & feel guilty about eating meat at times. I'm all for regulations to enforce more humane methods of animal husbandry. But PETA's demands are so over the top that I feel they end up doing more harm than good to the cause of animal rights.
I pointed to a long list of their bad deeds above. First page of Google results. I don't think calling out an organizations practices is an ad hominem.
When society is finally getting rid of religous doctrination here come another group trying to shame people into doing what they want. I don't even like eggs, but now I feel like having an omelette.
Check out any of a number of talks by Camille Paglia on the topic.
First wave feminism was about equality (eg. Amelia Earhart wanted to be like Charles Lindbergh, she admired and respected him) but now we are up to wave 4 and modern Amelia would be trying to destroy Lindbergh and demand his former outcome regardless of her investment in the enterprise.

In regards to number of seconds of eye contact at Netflix
I mean, I can only assume it is connected to your childhood traumatic experience of being repeatedly raped by an egg 🥚
