I worked in operations at a large finance firm in boston for 2 years. I moved into a FinTech sales role and am making 55k now with a discretionary bonus. I wanted to get into the role to better suit my outgoing personality. my former employer offered me a bump to 60k and a 10k bonus when i left. did i make a mistake? im doing very well at my new job btw
That’s dog shit. Apply as an Account Executive at Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, BOX, TMobile, AWS, Microsoft, or any SaaS company and make 125k OTE and make 250k per year by hitting your accelerators.
This is absolutely low for sales. Are you a bdr or inside sales? You should be doing 100k OTE with a 50/50 split.
Inside sales. They said it’s because I have no sales experience and they are a start up. Only about 20 of us
Gain the experience, try to bump that OTE up as much as you can.
