First time H1B visa approvals
I got selected in H1B visa this year. Have not received H1B approval notice yet. I am in non masters quota. Have other folks in non masters got approvals? We are passed oct 1st now, not sure how long will it take. I have upcoming international travel plan. Is traveling in this situation past oct 1 fine? I have H4 visa which is valid for few more months.
No approval here either, also non master. Attorneys warned it's going to take longer this year. You should have no problem getting back to US if your H4 is not expiring in the next couple of months.
In the same boat. Awaiting approval. Cancelling my international travel plan as: 1. While your H1 approval is in process and your i94 gets updated (which will once you come back) you have to go through concellor processing to get H1 or apply a new COS once you are back. 2. If you get approval while you are out, you have to go for stamping before entering.
I think as long as you have a valid H4 visa and a receipt for H1 you should be good. As always verify with an attorney
