Now that Walmart has a 71% stake in flipkart and they will have an ipo soon, what are some ways to buy some pre ipo shares of Flipkart? I am pretty sure they have great potential.. perhaps more potential than Amazon?
Flipkart has just spending VC money over the past few years trying to compete with Amazon. Zero profits. They won’t be able to keep this up for too long. It’s just a matter of time before Amazon drives them into the ground.
With Walmart's vast resources I don't think this will be the case. Walmart wants to be in the online race. It bought Jet and now Flipkart. They will compete fiercely. It will not be as easy for Amazon for sure. And coming to profits, do you know how much Amazon India makes? "..the ecommerce giant ended 2017 with an international loss of $3 billion — largely attributed to its India spends." https://www.google.com/amp/s/m.timesofindia.com/business/india-business/amazons-global-loss-at-3bn-in-2017-on-india-spend/amp_articleshow/62763336.cms

“more potential than amazon” stupidest thing ive heard ever.
Flipkart has innovated so much more than Amazon. I buy from both, and consistently get the feeling Amazon is only catching up. Amazon was just throwing more money so their products were cheaper. But of late that's also not been true.
Hi - can you enumerate how flipkart has innovated more than amazon.
