I am starting a new job tomorrow. I want to change a few things in this new one. Although I have had only 2 jobs till now after college and had made good career progress in both of them, I feel like I still dont perform in accordance with my potential. The number one reason is focus at work. I am not a kind of person who can be focussed at a task for 8 straight hours. My most productive time is the 2-3 hours in the morning before lunch. From there it goes downhill. How do ppl at blind cope with this ? I feel like I can do wonders in my career if I can get this thing right.
It goes down hill after Wednesday for me.
Have a child immediately. It will force you to focus during the 8 hours a day in the office.
No forcing. It’ll be a pleasure to focus on one thing for longer than 10seconds. :)
I can't do 8 hours straight. Usually 2-3 hours at a time, maybe 4, then gotta go for a walk or play some ping-pong and get back to it. Rinse, repeat.
If you're great in the morning, try showing up 30minutes earlier. But don't let anyone ask you to look at an email or something. The extra 30minutes should be more personal. Also, there are various focusing techniques like Pomodoro.
Smaller sections of focus with short breaks. I do about 40 minutes on 10 minutes off with a full lunch break.
I swear I’m not making fun but when I read “shirt” breaks I was wondering was this some sort of new organization / concentration system akin to pomadoreos
Haha yeah noticed that typo and fixed it must have loaded thread between post and fix 😬
Have lunch later. Come in earlier.
Go see a doctor. You might have ADHD, and if you take addreall it will help you a lot
Or might just be lazy. .
Not worth the side effects IMO
adderall
Come in earlier. You might be distracted by other people in the office, email, meetings, etc. Amazing what I can get done from 6am to 9am.
That's how most people work.
