I am interested In finding out if there are conversations happening in Microsoft about the current political regime? How did y’all respond to the Google memogate? “Billionaire Seahawks owner and Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen has donated $100,000 to a group aiming to keep Republicans in control of the U.S. House of Representatives.”
This guy owns some company called Vulcan and their recruiters will troll you on LinkedIn trying to lower ur TC
Microsoft is full of Trump supporters anyways
Oh no! He supports a party half the country does! 😱
Google is in a liberal bubble, Microsoft is in Redmond, which is fairly moderate. People aren’t going to get up in arms about something like this... even if it was a current leader. This is someone that left decades ago.
Msft is definitely one of the most conservative companies in tech. This donation isn't surprising at all. A lot of the animus for democrats comes from the fact that Obamacare trashed the healthcare plans Msft used to offer, which were among the best in the country.
Microsoft is liberal in general. There are some conservative employees, a few that have been prominent (like Allen apparently, and the drugstore.com guy, I forget his name). There are tons of internal groups for all manner of liberal causes including gleam, women's groups etc.
Yes, the conversations are that we hope in the future he can continue donating more and more. God bless the Republicans, Trump, other four years of Trump, and the next Republican candidate.
Sad
I don't care what former employees do in their spare time / money...

No one gives a fuck didn’t even know this
Contrary to your eloquent opinion: it seems like political alignments matter as made abundantly clear by the Google Memogate. Some really otherwise ‘smart’ men and women sided with the author of the leaked memo. So while you might be unaware, this is indeed an important conversation.
Dude Paul Allen barely does anything at Microsoft
