- New BDfd36I am having a hard time with this. I worked with JR for many years and never saw any of this behavior from him. I know we are supposed to support the victims of sexual harassment but JR has never been anything but very honorable and supportive. We worked very closely, traveled together for years. These allegations make no sense to me based on how I saw him interact with others and my own personal experiences. I would be curious to know what other female colleagues have experienced with him. This seems out of the norm to me.
- Synack d78jbg19fPeople behave differently towards different people. Just because in one context (the one in which you and people you knew know him) he didn’t behave inappropriately doesn’t mean he (or anyone else) is incapable of being inappropriate in another context. Don’t let the halo effect get to you.
Now, it is also possible that it’s all bullshit, just like any other allegation. The ex-VP who filed the case already has a new job, so I don’t think there’s much in it for her to file this case given how harshly we (society) judge women for coming forward.Jun 9 1
- Unity / Design XandramorePeople who would do this kind thing don't do it to everybody they know. Murderers do usually go murdering every person they know. Rapists don't go on raping every person they come cross. In almost all of these cases, the spouse or the daughter or many friends come out saying that they're shocked and that the perpetrator has never done anything like that in front of them.
We have this false image about sexual harassment that it's only done by obviously bad people, Disney-villain kind of people with horns and smokey eyes. That's not true at all.Jun 9 1
