for people working at Pinterest, is stock volatility a concern for you? do you believe it would go up or down in future? and what do you base it on?
Lol if a pinterest person answered this and you made an investment decision on that info wouldn't that technically be insider trading?
No, it’s fine, because at that moment info becomes public and anyone can use it. Also OP is not asking about material info but instead questions the sentiment. It would be considered insider trading if you met someone in the bar and they told you that you need to buy/sell based on some internal info that is not available to the public.
Sold all. The risk is higher than potential upside
Why? Is outlook not good?
First, @usuxybsb Is not a current employee if they sold. Blackout period still in place for current employees. If anyone had all equity in one stock, that’s too big of a risk. I won’t sell *all* mine, but you bet I’ll keep some. Pinterest is not going to grow into another Facebook, but it has a solid enough foundation that it won’t become Snap. Former Google/Yahoo/Amzn managers are turning culture into a mix of those companies, so I question the success of execution given that mix. Lots of egos and politics instead of good engineering execution. Not sure how that will impact future of stock.

Go down cause Instagram does shopping better
I don't think instagram has already started shopping.
Shopping as in you can click a photo on Instagram and easily purchase it from there. Pinterest’s business model is pretty similar with their pins instead.
