Hello, l am currently in stem opt extension and my opt expires Sept 2020. I wanted to know what option would be the best for me. I would be eligible for EB3 application and the priority date is current for my country. Is it better to wait and try for h1b next year (since i would not be able to go back to f1) or to start processing my GC now? Also, My parents have GC and i am not married. So, i qualify for F2B preference for GC through family based sponsership (takes ~6years). Is it ok to start this process now? Or, will this affect my F1 status as well? Thanks in advance. I'd def get Microsoft to file GC asap if they agree. If your category is current there's a reasonable chance you get GC by Sept 2020 depending on how fast Microsoft files.
Get GC. ROW is extremely fast these days. Got my GC in 1.5 years start to finish.
File for EB3 GC now. That will lead you to the permanent status and will give you a right to stay in the US with the advanced parole once your OPT expires. But also file for H1B come April, these two applications have no effect on each other
Thanks all! Appreciate your help.
