GMAT

Is the GRE becoming more widespread/popular in terms of gaining admission into B-Schools? Heard more colleges are starting to accept, although its easier than the GMAT. Asking because I signed up to take the GMAT.

I took the Gmat and just got into BSchool so that's the more common exam. More and more are starting to take it

I will would compare it to SAT and ACT

I took both and would say that gmat is harder. I didn’t prepare for gre and got almost the max score, but got under 700 in gmat. I had to do some prep for a month to get good score.

There is a push to diversify by letting non gmat scores into the mix. The logic is GMAT is a business student test and the GRE is everything else (humanities). So by allowing the GRE, they feel they can diversify the applicant pool. GMAT remains the preferred test.
