Game design

I would imagine that the city and the cities average household income would make a big difference so what ever answer you get here make sure to ask the city so you can adjust by consumer index for the cities; it usually makes a big difference

My husband (at Amazon currently) left games a few years back. He worked at 2 startups prior. He said designers averaged 40-50k at those gigs...and were very susceptible to layoffs once the game was finished.
